Achieving a high-performing healthcare safety net requires strong organizations with the capacity to deliver efficient and effective care to California’s most vulnerable populations.
Increasing demand for healthcare services among low-income Californians exceeds the safety net's current capacity. It is essential that health centers engage in data-driven performance improvement activities to expand their ability to respond to a growing patient population. To this end, the Foundation invests in the financial, operational, and technical acumen of community health centers to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness. In addition to general operating support, these funds are enabling safety net providers to thrive in a changing healthcare landscape.
