At Blue Shield of California Foundation, we believe that domestic violence and inequities in health are caused by deep-rooted, systemic issues—namely gender and economic inequity, and racism.
As a statewide funder, our strategy is to use policy and systems change to address those root causes.
We seek to improve the lives of the Californians most affected by domestic violence and health inequities: people of color in communities with low incomes.
With our refined strategy, we have established standards to which we will hold ourselves and by which we will measure the work.
