Glenda Monterroza is a program manager at Blue Shield of California Foundation. In this position, she is responsible for executing the grantmaking process across the Foundation’s initiatives as well as providing programmatic support.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Glenda worked on learning & evaluation at the California Endowment, where she contributed to various evaluation projects and provided analytical and grantmaking support for the Endowment’s Building Health Communities initiative.
She has extensive experience in philanthropy, working on various issues such as healthy eating/active living, access to health care and mental health services, education systems transformation, and building community power.
Glenda holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of Washington and a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and Spanish from UC Santa Barbara.
Glenda is an alumnus of Hispanics in Philanthropy’s líderes fellowship program and is part of the HOPE Leadership Institute's class of 2020.
