Mónica Morales is the Health and Human Services Agency director at the County of Yolo. Ms. Morales directs county programs focused on child welfare, homeless services, public benefits and employment, public health, veteran services, and behavioral health. 

Prior to joining Yolo County, Mónica was the Health Services Agency director at the County of Santa Cruz. Ms. Morales has over 15 years of experience working in government settings, including at the California Department of Public Health and at the Nevada Department of Public and Behavioral Health. Mónica has extensive experience in the areas of public policy, grant writing, program evaluation, program integration, and community engagement. 

Mónica was raised in Watsonville, California. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from University of California, Santa Cruz and a master’s in public policy and administration from Columbia University in New York.
