Video: The Culturally Responsive Domestic Violence Network
This video, produced by Social Policy Research Associates, highlights the work of the Culturally Responsive Domestic Violence Network (CRDVN). The CRDVN, established in 2014 by Blue Shield of California Foundation, hopes to promote culturally responsive approaches to preventing domestic violence (DV) and providing services to DV survivors. Members of the CRDVN teamed up to find the common issues that impact DV survivors across different immigrant communities and communities of color. Participants in the CRDVN established themselves as leaders and innovators in the field, and served as a resource for a growing number of DV service organizations across the state. As is described in the video, in November 2016, the CRDVN assembled more than 150 leaders and funders in the DV field for a two-day training institute.
