Democratizing Valuation: A Guide for Multi-Sector Collaboratives

Multi-sector collaboratives (MSCs) are a promising strategy for moving the needle on high-priority health and equity issues. However, given their breadth and long-term prevention orientation, these collaboratives often struggle to demonstrate their cost effectiveness, return-on-investment, or value to partners, contributors, and funders. This guide is designed to support “democratizingvaluation” by providing guidance on how to initiate and scope a project and simplified valuation tools and strategies to help MSCs understand and communicate their potential impact in their communities.
