Developed by the Family Violence Law Center, and commissioned by Blue Shield of California Foundation, this 2016 report sought to gather information about funding for domestic violence in California, illuminate challenges, and explore opportunities to really address survivors’ needs and end domestic violence in the state.

Qualitative figures on domestic violence funding, complemented with qualitative data from focus groups and interviews, reveal the current landscape of federal and state funding for this concerning issue. The report examines aspects which appear to be working well, discusses limitations, and highlights opportunities for advocacy and innovation.
