Carolina Gutiérrez

Program Associate, Health Care and Coverage

Carolina Gutiérrez is a program associate for the Foundation's Health Care and Coverage program. In this role, she supports grantmaking and programmatic activities related to expanding access to care and improving delivery systems within California's healthcare safety net.

Before joining the Foundation, Ms. Gutiérrez held various roles in both the Menlo Park, CA and Washington, D.C. offices of the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, where she focused on health issues affecting vulnerable populations. Her work there helped to amplify the voice of the underserved on a national and international level, through policy analysis, social science research, and public opinion findings. Ms. Gutiérrez contributed to various program areas at the Foundation, including women’s health, HIV/AIDS, racial and ethnic disparities, and global health policy.

Ms. Gutiérrez holds both master's and bachelor's degrees in psychology from Stanford University, with a secondary bachelor's degree in German literature. A northern Californian at heart, she enjoys hiking through redwood groves, picnicking in wine country, sampling international cuisines, and volunteering in her local community.
