Jen Lewis-Walden is a Senior Fellow for data strategies at Blue Shield of California Foundation. In this role, Jen works with key thought leaders and conducts research to define, identify, and implement measures that are reflective of community aspirations. Jen writes and conducts research to develop content for Foundation communications and interacts with grantees on data strategies.
Jen is concurrently a Culture of Health Leader with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and is working to launch a multi-sector health impact fund to advance health equity through outcomes-based funding. Previously, Jen was Special Projects Director at the Sonoma County Department of Health Services, leading cross-department projects—including strategic planning, policy advancement, and public-private partnerships to establish client-centered services at the intersection of health and human services, criminal justice, and housing. Jen also served as a Health Program Manager at the Sonoma County Department of Health Services, coordinating strategic efforts for the county’s collective impact initiative aimed at achieving equity and improving health outcomes.
Jen holds Master’s degrees in Environmental Management and International Relations from Yale University and a Bachelor’s degree in biology from Bryn Mawr College. Jen is pursuing a Certificate in Business Excellence through the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business Executive Education program.
