Jennifer Lin

Senior Program Manager

Jennifer Lin is a senior program manager at Blue Shield of California Foundation. In this position, Jennifer is responsible for executing our grantmaking and managing our initiatives and programmatic work overall.

Jennifer brings extensive philanthropy and nonprofit experience to the role. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was a Senior Philanthropic Advisor at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, where she engaged with a range of foundations, donors, and corporate grantmakers to achieve their philanthropic goals. Previously at the S. D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation, she managed a portfolio of health and education grants, engaged the next generation of family members in philanthropy, and oversaw the Foundation’s communications.

Jennifer also served as Senior Director of Development of an international anti-slavery organization, and as a fundraiser and case manager at a shelter for survivors of human trafficking in the San Francisco Bay Area. Earlier in her career, she was a book editor at Chronicle Books.

Jennifer holds a B.A. and an M.A. in English from Stanford University. She serves on the board of CORA (Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse), a domestic violence agency in San Mateo, and was co-chair of the Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy San Francisco chapter.
